Hiking
Take a Hike! If you feel like a little hiking exercise while around the lodge, you can explore the abandoned mine on Marsh Mountain. The mining road will first lead you through fairly flat tundra terrain and then up the pass through a short but steep uphill hike. From the pass you can either continue to the actual mine, or continue up the mountain to the west. You will be rewarded with an abundance of mountain wildflowers, (especially in June and July) and a good view of the beautiful surroundings. If you decide to go, you need to contact the Mission Lodge Manager.
For wilderness hikes, we have a number spots to hike to special fishing spots or places along the route of our lake hops. The guide will take you up ancient game trails to neverending visitas. This is not the end of the earth, but local lore says that you can see it from here.
